After you clock out of a shift, your payment is sent via Stripe Instant Pay within 30 minutes. You'll need a Stripe account linked to a bank account or debit card that supports instant transfers. Setup is part of onboarding.
Yes — all On the Fly workers must be TIPS certified before working their first shift. TIPS is a responsible alcohol service certification required by most NJ restaurants. You can complete it online at tips2serve.com for about $35 in a few hours.
We use Checkr, the industry standard background check provider. You'll receive a link to complete your check directly through Checkr's secure platform — you enter your own information. The check covers criminal history and typically takes 1–3 business days. It's a one-time process.
Yes. You can work as many shifts as you want across as many restaurants as you like. There are no minimums and no exclusivity. On the Fly is designed to fit around your existing schedule.
We require at least 6 hours notice to cancel without penalty. A no-show without notice results in a 90-day suspension on the first offense and permanent removal on the second. We take reliability seriously — it protects all workers on the platform.

We looked at the existing platforms and saw the same thing every time: high fees, misclassification problems, workers waiting 24 hours to get paid, and platforms built by people who've never stepped foot behind a bar.
